  I disagree with baltar- I cannot sympathize with any parent who would ever threaten to kick their 15YO old out, whether they mean it or not. Ugh. How digusting. But I do get that they are way different than earings. They are more- erm- obvious! It's pretty strange-looking. Not my thing (and I actually want to get a tattoo). But making a big deal out of it, as if it was some horrible thing would be petty and stupid. Any parent who does should just grow the hell up. And hell, at least it's not a tattoo.

  I think it's great that so many people on this thread are open-minded about it though, and so non-petty. What a difference, compared to the attitudes that I'm used to.

  But back to the original question- I agree with the posts. Be prepared in case what you think is happening does in fact happen.

  Sorry, I'm not of much help here. I just think the other posts made sense, mostly.

  Is the Watchtower Corporation guilty of purposely infusing a overwhelming amount of fear to control people ?

  if you were to pin point out the workings of the wts., of what attracts people to the.

  organization and what is the catalyst that controls them once.

  they are inside of it, the conclusion would most likely be drawn that fear is the paramount.

  Let's look at some passages from the lovely "My Book of Bible Stories", written for little, impressionable, innocent children, and see..

  today is my first anniversary as a jwn member.

  it's hard to believe that only a year has passed since i joined, but i feel that's a testament to how much i have been welcomed and made to feel like part of the furniture.. i would very much like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on the forum for the immense help and assistance i have received, particularly in my first few weeks/months of posting.

  it truly was a lifeline at a very distressing time for me.

  Do you take energy shots or sleep shots? What do you take? How do you like them?

  from time to time, i take 5 hour energy shots and ichill shots.

  Nope, don't take 'em.

  Took energy shots a couple of times. They have a slight effect but I never drank a WHOLE one all at once so I don't know how well they'd REALLY work.
